Mr. Li, the manager of the Production Planning Department, is Li Tinghua. In his mind, he has almost all the information you could possibly want, ranging from the incoming materials from suppliers to the production delivery, and even the completion status of the project. Whatever you want to know, he can give you the information like taking beans out of his pocket. He can be described as the company's encyclopedia. Therefore, his seat is always crowded with people, and there is a continuous stream of people coming to ask him questions.
Grow together with Nan Huaxi
In July 1993, Li graduated from Kunming Mechanical School. He was assigned to the Guiyang Vehicle Factory of the Ministry of Railways at the same time as Wen and Shen, who had just graduated from East China University of Transportation. Thus, they all got their jobs in state-owned enterprises and had a stable career in the public sector.
A total of about 80 people were allocated to the Guizhou Vehicle Factory at the same time. Mr. Wen was assigned to the Power Workshop, while Mr. Li was assigned to the Freight Car Workshop. In a factory with over 10,000 employees, it was not easy for the two to get acquainted. However, not long after, the vehicle factory established a new spare parts workshop. Mr. Li and Mr. Wen were jointly selected to join the new spare parts workshop, and then they were both assigned to study in the Xuzhou Vehicle Factory in Hunan Province. As a result, they gradually became familiar with each other.
In early 1994, Mr. Wen left the Guizhou Vehicle Factory and ventured south to Shenzhen. In May 1995, he established the Nan Huaxi Company. In April 1996, Mr. Li also left the Guizhou Vehicle Factory and headed south to Shenzhen. He joined the newly established Nan Huaxi Company, which had been in existence for less than a year and whose future was uncertain.
At that time, Nan Huaxi was still operating out of a few houses on the West Street of Nan Yuan. There were only about five or six people. Li worked in the workshop for over a year, then tried running some business for a few months, and finally was transferred to do purchasing, starting a decade-long career in purchasing until 2013. During this period, Nan Huaxi's production site moved several times. It first relocated within Shenzhen's South District, then moved far to Guangzhou in 2000, then from Guangzhou to Dongguan in 2008, and finally settled down in Dongguan Hongmei where the Nan Huaxi Industrial Park was established. As a purchaser, Li always followed the factory around. At first, he traveled between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and later between Dongguan and Shenzhen, for over a decade.
In 2013, Li worked his way out of the purchasing position and was transferred to the position of manager of the commercial department, returning to work at the Shenzhen office. In 2018, the production planning department was established, and Li was appointed as the manager of the production planning department.
From 1996 to 2019, Li worked with Nan Huaxi for 24 years, leaving his indelible mark on the development journey of Nan Huaxi.
The only person who works six days a week
As a veteran entrepreneur of Nanhuaxi, working in the company for over twenty years, Mr. Li's enthusiasm for his job has remained constant throughout these years, without any decline. Whether as the manager of the Commercial Department or the Production Planning Department, Mr. Li's work has always been busy. In the group of late-night overtime workers in the Shenzhen company, his presence can be seen almost every day. At the same time, he is also the only person in Shenzhen Nanhuaxi who works six days a week.
In fact, before the production planning department was established, Li worked on a large portion of his tasks related to production planning. Delivery management was the top priority of his work. In 2016, it was Li's suggestion that a business delivery meeting be held every Friday evening in Dongguan. Therefore, every Friday, when everyone was getting into the weekend mode, Li had to go to Dongguan alone to attend the business delivery meeting. He would go through each project with the colleagues in the production department to finalize the delivery time for each project. The meeting would last for two or three hours, often starting at seven o'clock in the evening and ending at ten o'clock.
The staff at the Nanhuaxi Office in Dongguan follow a five-and-a-half-day work schedule. They also work half a day on Saturdays. Mr. Li finishes his meetings every Friday evening, and then follows the working schedule of the Dongguan company on Saturday until 12 o'clock noon to implement various delivery arrangements. After that, he returns to Dongguan and arrives in Shenzhen around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. He then continues to work overtime in the office until around 5 or 6 o'clock in the evening. Therefore, Mr. Li is the only one among all the office staff of Nanhuaxi Company who works six days a week.

Li's over a decade of procurement experience, along with his many years of business and production planning work, have enabled him to have a thorough understanding of various aspects ranging from suppliers to internal production within the company, as well as customer projects. Thus, he is known as the 'encyclopedia of Nanhuaxi'. The company undertakes hundreds of projects every year. For each project, Li knows the contract amount, production progress, delivery time, delivered quantity, and un-delivered quantity in detail. Besides, he is also well aware of the component specifications and delivery schedules of each supplier, as well as the internal inventory and production status of the company. Whenever asked, he can provide you with an immediate response without referring to any materials.
I work in the same cubicle as Mr. Li. Therefore, I can best sense the hustle and bustle of his office. There are people coming to consult him every day - about production, business, budget, technology, after-sales service... The stream of visitors is truly continuous. Although the production department is located in Dongguan, they still keep calling frequently. When Mr. Li goes to smoke a cigarette, I often have to answer several calls on his behalf.
The saying 'Those who have access to the water nearby can get the moon first' means that with this 'encyclopedia', my work has become much more convenient. If I want any information, I can simply ask him. It can be said that I can get whatever I want.
Postscript
As the person closest to Li in the company, I am also the one who best understands the busy working schedule and selfless working spirit of Li Manager. His consistent enthusiasm and striving spirit over the past twenty years has also impressed me the most. Among those who arrive at the company earliest every morning, apart from Manager Guo Lihua from the Technology Department and Mr. Wang Shurong and his wife from the Budget Department, there is also Li Manager. They usually arrive at the company before 7:30 in the morning, and sometimes even at 7:00. And at night, their presence is often seen when they leave the company the latest.
Due to the nature of his work, it is difficult to achieve any earth-shattering achievements. He is like a conveyor belt in the company, through his unremitting efforts and selfless dedication, he ensures the coordinated and orderly operation among various production departments of the company, fulfills the company's delivery commitments, shines the company's brand, maintains good customer relationships, provides strong support and assistance for sales personnel to expand their territory, and enables the development of *** to advance steadily forward.
